Let’s start a conversation
Sustainability is one of the three cross-curriculum priorities in the Victorian Curriculum F-10.
Bowerbird Gardens offers teachers and schools innovative, hands-on, immersive, project-based learning opportunities that create tangible outcomes for local communities. We make and build stuff, incorporating teachable moments each step of the way, from conception to completion.
Our skill is in working alongside students and teachers, with a collaborative approach to get the best out of everybody.
We specialise in grant writing, and seeking third-party funding and assistance for particular projects. We understand budgets are tight, that school councils and committees need funds to stretch as far as they can.
All who work in schools and kindergartens for Bowerbird Gardens are accredited teachers, or holders of Working with Children employee cards. The company has $10 million public liability insurance, and all capital work projects comply with Victorian buildings standards and codes, and with Standards Australia’s playground safety specifications.
Within this regulatory framework, there’s ample scope still for children and teaching staff to devise and implement innovative projects that instil lasting benefits for the greatest public good.
